Volkswagen ID. Aura T6 Signals China's EV Power Shift

Volkswagen has started deliveries of the ID. Aura T6 in China, a 129,900-yuan electric SUV offering up to 660 km of CLTC range, LiDAR-assisted driving, and a new VW-Xpeng co-developed architecture. Its launch comes as 20 Chinese brands prepare for Paris Auto Show 2026 and Chinese battery leaders CATL and BYD command a combined 54.5% of the global EV battery market, underscoring how China is reshaping the EV industry at every level.
