BYD Accelerates With Flash Charging and LiDAR

BYD has opened its first jointly operated Sinopec flash-charging hub in Shanghai, featuring 12 stalls, battery-buffered charging, and 24/7 retail services, while also confirming the August 11 debut of the 2027 Seal 06 with LiDAR-based God’s Eye B driver assistance. Together, the moves show BYD expanding beyond low-cost EVs into a broader ecosystem strategy spanning charging infrastructure, ADAS technology, and mass-market electrification.
